Level 1: Introduction to Mental Health in the Workplace  - 1/2 Day

A great starting point for teams who want shared language, better awareness, and a supportive culture.

Main topics include:

  • What mental health is (and common myths)

  • Stress: causes, signs, and impact at work

  • Common mental health conditions: what they can look like

  • How to start a supportive conversation

  • Boundaries, confidentiality, and signposting

  • Creating a more supportive workplace culture

Level 2: Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace - 1 Day

For organisations that want deeper understanding and stronger confidence supporting colleagues day-to-day.

Main topics include:

  • Recognising early warning signs and changes in behaviour

  • Practical communication skills and active listening

  • Supporting someone who may be struggling (without diagnosing)

  • Building a supportive team environment

  • Managing stress and wellbeing at work

  • Signposting and workplace support pathways

Level 3: Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace - 2 Days

For organisations that want trained Mental Health First Aiders who can provide early support and guidance.

Main topics include:

  • The role of a Mental Health First Aider (and limits of the role)

  • Recognising signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions

  • Handling difficult conversations and crisis situations appropriately

  • Supporting recovery and return to work

  • Practical action planning and signposting

  • Safeguarding considerations and escalation

Certificate validity: typically valid for 3 years.
