The founder's motivation and the vision

Hi, I am Omar,
I’m driven to make things fair for others as because of my teenage experiences.

When I was 14 in my first year of high school, I had no friends and felt isolated. In PE I loved volleyball, but I was too short and overweight, so I was always picked last and even when I made a team, I was treated like an inconvenience. That’s where I learned how quickly groups quietly exclude someone so I decided to earn my place through competence, playing with strategy, working hard, and bringing value.

This experience was a massive motivator in making things fairer for everyone, including the “picked last” person and I developed a strong sense of wrong vs right.

As an adult, I see the same dynamic in workplaces, where people are left to work out problems on their own, like being "picked last" and that’s when things go wrong whilst Health & Safety Training has become a tick-box exercise. Managers are anxious about legal consequences, but they juggle staff training along with operational pressures so they remain worried.

The moment it clicked as a business was over dinner with a friend, talking about fairness, the value of people’s lives, and why so many people don’t actually know what to do in an emergency. I ran an informal Health & Safety awareness session for a multi-million-pound global chain, and the H&S leads at Head Office commissioned weekly courses to be rolled out across the UK. Budget was offered, and it was priced per attendee. That was the proof.

The mission
My mission is to turn businesses struggling to balance H&S compliance with operational demands, into safe, audit-ready workplaces so that owners/managers can sleep at night, knowing everything has been taken care of.

In three years, HST will be the go-to Health & Safety courses and compliance platform across the UK, serving over 300 businesses, with 1,000+ active learners per month and 90% of our customer businesses passing their audits first time.

The vision
The bigger vision is a world where every workplace puts people first where psychological safety is normal, and compliance is a shared discipline that prevents harm.
